Perched on a small hill overlooking the mighty Rufiji River, Roho ya Selous sits in the best area for wildlife in the park. The camp offers eight canvassed, spacious tents which spread out along the thicket, perfect for embracing safari life and having your own privacy The main mess area of the camp homes an expedient lounge with a roaring fireplace taking center stage for cooler evenings.
As the name translates to the “the heart of the Selous”, the idea behind the design of the camp is a mix both indoor and outdoor living. The rooms all have running hot and cold water, an indoor and outdoor shower, and even air conditioning for the warmer months. Each of tents have a private, shady veranda to relax on at the end of an exciting day!
There is a wide variety of activities that Roho ya Selous offer and the beauty is that guests can ‘mix and match’ every day, from a choice of game drives, walking safaris and boating safaris. Guests can also combine a boat safari with an hour or so of sport fishing.
Inclusions:
Accommodation on full board, all activities on shared basis, all drinks except champagne and premium wines, limited laundry, game drives, guided walks, boat trips, sport fishing, and scheduled road transfers to and from Mbuyu and Siwandu airstrip.
